What is a “Wegmans,” you may be asking. Wegmans is the 29th ranked of the top 75 North American Food Retailers according to their sales volume, with over 100 food supermarkets and “mega-markets” mainly in the northeast corridor of the USA. Their foods are aimed at “upscale clientele” and in 1992, they began a line of so-called healthy products called “Food You Feel Good About.” The problem was that even though they eliminated artificial colors, preservatives and flavors with this line, they never mention whether or not GMOs are included or excluded. This deserves careful consideration.
Should you “feel good” knowing when you’re eating certain fruits, vegetables, and grains that you’re eating genetically modified organisms and DNA from bugs and plants that kills other bugs and weeds? Would you purposely eat food that kills root worms that eat the corn you buy? Then why don’t you spray your picnic food with bug killer so the flies won’t come near it, then eat it? Common sense says no way, no how.
But wait, Wegmans has a huge line-up of “healthy” food stuff for their “Food You Feel Good About” in-house brand that now carries over 2,000 items at all those mega-stores. It’s true, Wegmans “Food You Feel Good About” cuts out a boatload of processed and chemical-laden food additives (think MSG, sodium benzoate and aspartame), and that’s good, but try to get a straight answer out of the staff about their name brand, and they’ll point you right to the organic food, but they don’t answer the question. What are they covering up – could it be genetically mutated organisms in their “healthy” food lineup?

After asking in person, and failing to get a clear yes or no, we contacted Wegmans by phone, but the explanation from managers led to talk of family farms, local farmers, and farms in “Northern Virginia and in Pennsylvania” that supply Wegmans much of their produce, and that run cleaner operations. Then, our call got transferred to another department. Another manager.
Still, they couldn’t verify whether there are GMOs in those fruits and vegetables or not. They’ll remind you of vegan choices and vegetarian choices, but what about pesticides and GMOs? Not sure. “So you’re not sure about pesticides in your own brand?” Transfer.
Then, there was talk of the Non-GMO label on some specific canned food choices, such as the Chinese food section. We had to remind their rep again, nicely, that we were asking about pesticides and GMOs in Wegmans brand products, including their now famous “Food You Feel Good About.” Stuttering, then again, transfer.
Try looking anything up in Google these days about the dangers of GMOs, pesticides in food, canola oil, or monosodium glutamate, and you get happy, shiny reviews across the board. Same goes for chemotherapy, vaccines and just about all pharma prescription medications. Is Monsanto/Bayer behind all of this? Keep reading. Keep asking questions. Follow the money.
You see, the better the question you ask, the better the answer you get. And when they can’t answer the best of questions, and you’ve got them stumped, that’s when you already know the answer. Chemical pesticides can drive chronic inflammation, the springboard of almost every ailment known to humans. Then, after decades of pesticide abuse, comes the anxiety, depression, and dementia. It’s all one big Ponzi scheme, and it all comes with coverage for your prescription medications, chemo, and Google searches that still tell you it’s just fine to eat pesticides all day.
Eat GMO food all day and your ears will ring like you’ve been at a rock concert in the front row with no ear plugs. Eat GMO food all day and you’ll start forgetting simple things, like where you put your keys, purse and wallet. It’s true. It’s short-term dementia and you can write it off as air-headed or “stressed,” but the truth is, you are what you eat. Are you a dying bug or withering weed? Wegmans doesn’t seem to care one way or the other, or do they?
Smart consumers want to know up front on the products if they contain pesticides or not. So Wegmans, ready to step up to the plate on that? Tune in to FoodSupply.news and find out more about how “impossible burgers” may make it impossible for your body to differentiate between what’s real and what’s lab-made GMO. Do those impossible GMO things keep manufacturing pesticide genes in your gut? Good question.
